The first thing that I see

A girl was born without sight. Blind from birth, she lived her life as best as she could. When she was older, she went away to a retreat for the weekend with her church youth group. All were gathered around the campfire for a time of sharing. The girl sat there and listened, waiting her turn. Then she stood up and spoke:

"I can tell that some of you pity me. I have never seen the beauty of a sunrise or sunset. But please do not pity me. I have hope because the first thing that I will ever see is the face of the Lord."
